Mom Tri’s Boathouse is represented at the first international exhibition of Food & Drink, Hotel, Bakery, Restaurant & Foodservice Equipment, Supplies and Services for the hospitality industry held at the Royal Phuket Marina. The Prem Organic Cooking and Farming Academy, part of Mom Tri’s Prem Center in Chiang Mai, is unlike any other cooking school in Thailand. Instead of the typical tourist fare the focus is on seasonal, organic, and local Thai specialties that have been handed down for generations. Founder Su-Mei Yu, an award-winning restaurateur, cooking teacher and author has designed a special four-day vegetarian cooking course and cultural experience from October 12 to 16 2009, in honour of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival. Mom Tri’s Boathouse Phuket Thailand, is a creation of famous Thai Architect and artist Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul better known as Mom Tri. Built in 1989, it quickly became a favourite with discriminating visitors and appears on numerous lists of the world’s best small hotels. The Boathouse has been distinguished since August 2006 for four consecutive years with the first and only Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” in the Kingdom of Thailand.
