Boathouse Relaunching in October
A treasured part of the Kata Beach landscape for decades and recently acquired by Montara Hospitality Holdings Co., Ltd, which also owns luxury Trisara, Phuket, new additions to the property include a rooftop Sunset Lounge, the new beach club and a spa, opening in November as well as a large boutique with a gourmet café.
Beachfront restaurant Boathouse Wine & Grill – a continuous winner of Thailand Tatler ‘Best Restaurants’ and Wine Spectator awards since 1995 – will keep its original name.
Marie-Laure Fleury, new General Manager of Boathouse, is a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel School and a 20-year veteran of the hospitality business. Prior to this appointment she was Resort Manager at Trisara.
Marie-Laure comments, “The vast investment in Boathouse is a tremendous opportunity to establish something truly wonderful. Together with my team we will raise the standards of this legendary resort and restaurant up to the next level.”
